I’m really enjoying the direction that I’m taking as an artist. I’ve recently taken a little time to start back sketching and I’m doing a diverse amount of work. As I’ve learned more and improved on my skills, something has become very obvious to me…..I want to do too much. As I’ve grown as a designer I’ve learned more than I initially set out to learn. I remember my humble beginnings as a design intern for one of the areas small design houses. I started with a healthy curiosity of Photoshop 5. Back then I had experience as an IT professional, and that led me to my love of technology. As I look at my current level of experience I have realized that the modern-day graphic designer can no longer be a one trick pony. As the years have passed I have become a jack of all trades, and a master of some. Whether it is HTML5, CSS, the Adobe Creative Suite, jQuery, WordPress or whatever else is needed I have come to the realization that in order to be a great designer you have to learn whatever you need to know “By Any Means Necessary”!
